Graduate Students

PhD program applicants in the School of Social Work for both the joint and standalone programs are welcome to apply with interest in working with Dr. Bornheimer in the STaR Lab.  Dr. Bornheimer is accepting new students for Fall 2025.

Undergraduate Students

Each fall, Dr. Bornheimer interviews undergraduate students to join the lab for credit hours or paid work-study through UROP.

Additionally, there are some openings for volunteer undergraduate research assistants. At this time, there are no openings, but it is possible that some may be available in the winter semester.

For students considering honors theses in a social science department, Dr. Bornheimer will consider co-mentoring students whose research interests align with the lab's. Students will still need a primary mentor in their home department.

Staff

There are no current openings for paid staff members.
